artistic nature and geography of the region.
It traces ancestral traditions and customs.
This authenticity, used in the design of handicrafts,
quickly impacted the economic fabric of the region.
With a very large skilled workforce,
the craft industry of Dakhla Oued Eddahab is very active and
remains the main financial vector for many inhabitants of the region.
Works of art have as raw material the skins of cattle.
Artisans mainly focus on processing hides
goats and camels to obtain these artistic tools (soles in
leather, sofas, saddlebags, etc.).
The wool collected is also used to make carpets and tents.
Other handicrafts (decorative items and copper jewelry)
are made with local clay or colored ivory.
